We were fortunate enough to have the opportunity to see both the White and Black Rhinos on our safari. This one is a "bit less" endangered than the black, but both face severe safety concerns due to poaching. This one was found in the Lake Nakuru area, Kenya.
Technically, this is the Southern White Rhino. There are only a handful of the Northern White Rhinos still alive, unfortunately.

The white rhinoceros or square-lipped rhinoceros is the largest extant species of rhinoceros. It has a wide mouth used for grazing and is the most social of all rhino species. Wikipedia

Lifespan: 40 – 50 years
Gestation period: 16 – 18 months
Mass: Male: 5,100 lbs, Female: 3,700 lbs
Height: Male: 5.6 – 6.1 ft. (At Shoulder), Female: 5.2 – 5.8 ft. (At Shoulder)
