3005e February Daffodil

Found in Elkmont, Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

 

Not native wildflowers, but daffodils are found throughout the park, as they were planted by the settlers who had lived there prior to the creation of the GSMNP. If you find them while hiking, it is a good bet that you are in an area that was once a homestead.
