2161ex Milford Sound Pano

The South Island of New Zealand has rugged beauty in so many forms. Milford Sound is really a glacier-carved fjord that is a part of Fiordland National Park, Piopiotahi Marine Reserve, and the Te Wahipounamu World Heritage site. The waters flow into the Tasman Sea.

A boat cruise up the Sound delights the eye with rugged mountains rising straight up from the pristine blue waters, cascading waterfalls that drop over 1000 meters, and glimpses of penguins and seals, all of which evoke a true sense of wonder. We were lucky enough to visit on a sunny day--- less waterfall flow, but more sparkling waters.
