8419ex Pika

Pika taking a break from scurrying all over a large rock scramble field. They were not at all shy about having a couple of hikers clicking away at them.

The American pika is found in the mountains of western North America, usually in boulder fields at or above the tree line. They are herbivorous, smaller relatives of rabbits and hares. They are tailless.

This guy and his buddies were about the size of a small guinea pig.
