Image of the Helix Nebula (NGC7293), about 650 light years away. Taken with an Orion EON 130mm triplet with field flattener, using a QHY168C 14-bit color camera, and a 48mm diameter OptoLong Quad pass filter in front of the camera. This is a combination of 6 single exposures of 300 sec each, from backyard Sunnyvale California location, stacked using PixInSight. Scope was mounted on a Losmandy G11 mount, and using a Celestron 80mm piggyback scope with ASI178MM video camera and PHD2 for autoguiding.
