NGC6826BlinkingPlane_5X500s_Oct_6_2013_Stacked_XSqrRt_focus
NGC6826 Blinking Planetary taken with a 10inch f6 Newtonian made by Mick Hollimon, with a Robert Royce primary mirror, at Baader MPCC Coma Corrector with Orion Starshoot Pro V1 Camera - Schneider 486 UVIR Filter. This is a stack of 5 x 500 sec exposures taken the night of Oct 6, 2013, from my Sunnyvale, California back yard. The original image luminance was transformed with square-root while retaining the color balance, then cropped and expanded 2X in each direction in Adobe CS5 with bicubic interpolation. I then further sharpened the central planetary nebula in CS5 with unsharp mask. This object is about 2000 light years away, in constellation Cygnus.
