Look a friend- (This is the last one!)

So I cut out two to start with- but I thought I would try it in white- I think I like the black spots best.

Here are my alterations that I made:

I do not use interfacing for the inside - I am not sure what kind of interfacing is used in the pattern, but I was not able to find it at my fabric store. The interfacing that I did find was expensive and I could not get it to work the way the picture did, and I decided that I like it that way!

I do use interfacing for the bottom circle-but a circle of cereal box works too.

I use a 1/2 inch seam on the outsides vertical of the circle. I pin the seams down and go slow with the stitching. (ok I admit it I even sew over the pins- but please don't report me to the sewing machine police).

For the top and bottom horizontal I use a 1/4 seam. The inside vertical rectangle I cut to 11 7/8 X 4 1/2 and sew a 1/4 seam. I iron this seam to one side and then iron in folds to show where 1/4 of the piece is so that I can match up where to pin the outside circle

The pattern piece is not symmetrical- if you want to split it in half for a color wheel you might try making strips that have a 1/4 seam and then cutting the piece out.
