‘Kramer vs Kramer’ or ‘The War of the Roses’

I have no idea what happened, might be family feud, pre-mating ritual or non-consensual sex or divorce gone ugly. But these 2 coots almost fought to their death. Never seen birds using legs to kick or pushing each other. They fought 3 times in front of me and chasing each other around the pond. Do not worry nobody died, may be hurt a little bit.
