Panavia Tornado ECR - Tigermeet 2001 - 2
The build of this model was rather straight forward: Reproducing the shapes of the previous Tornado in LBG and adding some minor details (like the sensors on the belly and a nose without the Mauser cannons).
The decalling job, on the other hand, was quite a hand full. It took me about 3 months to design and apply the correct stickers to the model, only having illustrations as an example to begin with. It was a seller on Ebay (Stockintrade) that provided the necessary help by donating the so needed high def pictures of the decal sheet of the Revell 1:32 kit.
Still, redesigning and transforming those decals into stickers that would fit a 1:36 LEGO model took me quite the time on photo-shop and 'old school' printing, measuring, printing again, etc.
All in all, I think the end result speaks for itself and it was well worth the time spent!!
