Liquor-web-edit-5365-2

Liquor advertising shot. This is based on the stock image with the background removed and shot from a higher angle.

For this liquor advertisment, I employed something I don't often do in shots like this, using 2 sources of lighting at different color temperatures. The main light is a tungsten based light in a large softbox to camera left. The light on the book is a canon speedlight snooted with cinefoil and gelled with a CTO to camera left. Another speedlight (also gelled with a CTO) is justin clamped behind the desk lamp and firing into the shade to make it look as if the lamp is illuminating the book as well as lighting up the piece of paneling I used as a background. Shot with a 70-200 to compress entire scene into the framing I was looking for. I adjusted the kelvin in camera to an appropriate color temperature. 1/4 second exposure used to expose for the continuous light source.
