Happy ever after

Here's a little true story for you moomin addicts out there :-)

 

I bought this little Moomin figure from a remainder table in the toys department of a local store a long time ago. Unfortunately they didn't have a Snork Maiden, his female counterpart, so I took him home alone, hoping that one day I would find a girlfriend for him.

 

So little Moomin stood on my shelf, year after year, waiting.

 

I kept looking, but to no avail. When I joined eBay, I also looked for Moomin figures there. I found some, but only complete sets, and I did not want to tear apart an existing couple. And Moomin stood on my shelf, waiting.

 

Then one day there she was — a beautiful Snork Maiden, single, in good condition. I would have paid almost any amount, but even got her for quite a normal price.

 

Now I have a happy little Moomin couple. And whenever times are hard they remind me that no matter how hard it is, no matter how long it may take, everything can turn out well in the end.
