Noel Beddoe talk

On Wednesday, March 12 at 2pm, Noel Beddoe read from his latest book, "On Cringila Hill."

The Friends of Kiama Library organised the event, which was filmed at Kiama Library by the ABC film crew for a segment on 7.30.

The segment is scheduled for screening on Friday, March 21.

Noel Beddoe’s latest novel charts the events that unfold to rock the lives of the migrant families of Cringila following a drive-by shooting of a teenage boy.

It draws loosely on real events around the post-war steelworks suburb.

Beddoe said the 7.30 team interviewed him at home, filming in the area and at Warrawong High School where he was principal for 12 years.

He said the book was selling well, especially the eBook and Kindle versions.

Noel signed books at the event.
