Contracting Out???

While it may look like BNSF has left a loco to be worked on by the local auto-body repair outfit, it is not what it appears to be. Instead, it is something major that they would never be able to handle. The 4828 had a traction motor seize-up on it and the train set out the GE on an adjacent spur next to the autobody shop until mechanical forces could inspect it. But considering how many techo-toasters I've seen with varying degrees of scorch on the BNSF, this wasn't so far fetched. Feel free to add your own caption. Hughson, CA on March 10, 2000.
