The "Chief" @ Monrovia

Another view of the short-lived "Chief" under the Amtrak banner, this time at Monrovia, CA. Eastbound train #20, rolls east past the closed Monrovia, CA depot on July 3rd, 1972, just three weeks after the previous photo and a scant mile or so east. The depot is still around, the last I knew, but the contractors will be here shortly to start ripping up the track.
