SP 2568 and 2468 lead a westbound around the by-pass at the east end of West Colton yard as seen from the Pepper St. overpass on cloudy January 6, 1985. Up front are 28 "Tank Train" cars. If you couldn't see the mixed freight just coming underneath the Palmdale Cut-off, you could make the argument that this was mighty strange power for a unit oil train.
