USS Missouri (BB-63) Captain's Chair 💙

English Bay, Vancouver. September, 1991.

My Dad sitting in the Captain's Chair of the Battleship Missouri. Looks like he's thinking of swinging the big guns over towards North Van for a few pot shots. Yea!

Missouri's main battery consisted of nine 16 inch guns, which could fire 2,700 lb armor-piercing shells 23 miles in 50 seconds.

Non-slippery when wet, the teak decking used on the 'Big Mo' is a full 2" thick.

Belched fire during WWII, the Korean War and the Gulf War with Iraq.
