USS Enterprise Bridge

This is a recreation of the original set of the Bridge of the USS Enterprise or the Sci-Fi television series 'Star Trek'. The original would have been destroyed after filming which was normal practice during the 60's.

The consul in the forground is the helm. Beyond that is the Captain's chair. At the back is the Science and Communications Stations. The screens at the top of the bulkhead display static images of cosmic scenes and never changed during the whole series.

The bridge is the nerve centre for the USS Enterprise from where all necessary operations on the ship are overseen. The bridge is located under the dome on top of the saucer section of starship. The Captain takes the centrally located command chair and works with his/her commanders who are stationed around the bridge to monitor the information displays showing everything from engineering, gravity control and flight control,

Star Trek is an American science fiction media franchise based on the television series created by Gene Roddenberry. The first television series, simply called Star Trek and now referred to as The Original Series, debuted in 1966 and aired for three seasons on the television network NBC. It followed the interstellar adventures of Captain James T. Kirk (William Shatner) and his crew aboard the starship USS Enterprise, a space exploration vessel, built by the interstellar federal republic United Federation of Planets in the twenty-third century. The Star Trek canon of the franchise includes The Original Series, an animated series, four spin-off television series, its film franchise and an upcoming television series scheduled to debut in 2017.

This recreated set was at Star Trek: The Exhibition, on Blackpool's Golden Mile (or Promenade) which tells the story of the intergalactic drama, which almost stalled after three series after cosmic rival Star Wars came along.

Costumes, scripts, and props from the desks of Star Trek's leading pilots all feature, as well as this reconstructions of the USS Enterprise bridge there is its famous transporter for the ultimate photo opportunity.
