IR WDM3A 18988 54701 HMH 190318_2
Tughlakabad banger WDM3A 18988 (built 1987 or 88) totters out of Hanumangarh Junction with the 10:45 Bathinda Jn - Lalgarh Jn Passenger, train 54701. It should have been an Abu Road machine but this old beast sounded excellent. Monday 19th March 2018.
The train was absolutely rammed; I planned to go further to the next crossing point (and would have scored another new engine) but had had enough by then and bailed out for refreshments. It seems the sparse service frequency on this axis isn't anywhere near enough to cope with the passenger demand and what little there is about half the required length!
