Tughlakabad WDP1M 15016, rebuilt May 2017, in the south end bay platforms of Jind Junction with train 54008, the 10:00 Passenger to Rohtak Jn via Panipat Jn. Saturday 17th March 2018. 15034 was at the other end and presumabably brought the opposing working in earlier, arriving at 08:25.
It was a four hour 141 km journey via two secondary branch lines (it's only 57 km via the mainline) - good for colouring in the atlas but really quite uninspiring in every other aspect. With only eight coaches the 2300 hp WDP1 wasn't taxed in the slightest on the near flat plain of Haryana state, passing through non-descript agricultural land. The train was, however, pretty wedged for most of the way and I was happy to escape at Rohtak.
