IR WDM3A 16491 WDG3A 13421 WDM3A 18797 WDP1 15016 BTI 080318

Line up of proper power at Bathinda Junction on Thursday 8th March 2018: WDM3A 16491 of Ludhiana; WDG3A 13421 of Jhansi (a recent transfer from Bondamunda); WDM3A 18797 of Abu Road. In my experience the ALCos are highly reliable get-you-home-even-if-knackered machines: in around 100,000 kms I've never had one expire on me (although I've had some right old states).

But... 18797 had just been dragged in dead and dumped by the WDP1 (15016) hiding on the distant right and 16491 was at Jodhpur two days before and Firozpur the day after being ferried dead to its home shed in a succession of different trains.

Out of view on the extreme right was LDH 16279 with the Delhi Sarai Rohilla - Firozpur InterCity Express, the driver of which gave me a bollocking for taking photos - the only occasion in three weeks and ~500 photos that this happened. I politely told him it was OK for tourists and walked off without consequence!
