Monstrous Ludhiana WDM3A 18942 at Anupgarh coupling up to form train 59707, the 10:30 Passenger to Suratgarh Junction. Sunday 11th March 2018. As usual, a crowd of curious onlookers gather to watch the process.
This engine was almost certianly the best Ludhiana loco of the trip: very loud and crisp with a fearsome pick-up and no disappointing fading away once flat out. Reasonably smoky too, when given a handful of notches by the pilot, which happened quite frequently - he liked blocking it once clear of the loop pointwork coming down platforms! A great combination of man and machine.
