In the evening golden hour ex-Ratlam and now Vatva WDM3A 18730 at Bhakti Nagar (Rajkot) with the 14:30 Porbandar - Rajkot Jn Unreserved Express, train 19572. Monday 5th March 2018.

 

I was expecting this to be a good engine, being ex-Ratlam (their ALCos are generally above average beasts) and an aging rebuild (so less likely to have the sometimes stultifying 'Microprocessor Control') but it was pretty pathetic sounding - just a muted shhhhh when flat out which the fan did a good job of being almost as loud as!
