Life's Burdens Half Empty or Half Full?

The Lord says in so many words, I will not give you a burden to heavy for you to bear.

He also says that Jesus will help us carry any burden if we stay true to his word.

I believe the heaviest burden we carry is God's gift of freewill. The Lord lets us make decisions on our on. He gives us a guide or commandments on what he expects of us. But He also allows us to freely choose which path to take.

God says that while carrying the burden of freewill we may choose the wide path that curves in and out of worldly pleasures. Satan makes this path look easy and appealling. This wide path leads to utter distruction of our lives. Satan takes great pleasure in this.

Or we may choose the narrow path with a narrow gate. Something that we are guaranteed is that Jesus will not let us travel this path alone. All we have to do is ask for his guidance and we can lean on Jesus while on this path. We will stumble and we will fall. But Jesus is there to help us steady ourselves.

If we continue along with our trust in Jesus. He will lessen our burden by carrying some of the load. If you do not think I am telling the truth, Jesus has already proven that he is capable of any and all burdens that we carry.

As a human man he carried the cross which was a physical burden in itself. As our savior he carries past, present and future sins. If Jesus did that , why can't we carry our trials and burdens. Because God will not give us any burden that he will not help us with.

My glass is half full. Why? because I have the blood of Jesus in my life!!!

Psalm 23

A psalm of David.

The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.

He makes me lie down in green pastures,

He leads me beside quiet waters,

He restores my soul.

He guides me in paths of righteousness

for his name's sake.

Even though I walk

through the valley of the shadow of death, [a]

I will fear no evil,

for you are with me;

your rod and your staff,

they comfort me.

You prepare a table before me

in the presence of my enemies.

You anoint my head with oil;

my cup overflows.

Surely goodness and love will follow me

all the days of my life,

and I will dwell in the house of the LORD

forever.
