Headed to Bolivia

A northbound train of empty manganese concentrate containers is destined for the San Cristobol mine in Bolivia for reloading.

 

It's climbing upgrade near Cebollar, Chile, away from one of the many salars (salt flats) in the area.

 

Leading the train is a trio of GT22CU-3s that utilize a turbocharged EMD 645 for power.
