Keeping a commitment
Santa Fe SD75M No. 228 glides up the west slope of Olathe Hill on the Emporia Subdivision headed for Chicago with Q-LANY9-09.
Somewhere on the far west end of the railroad, these cars were setout bad order from a hot train and to make their scheduled arrival in Chicago, Santa Fe ran this special train when repairs were complete to get them to the Windy City. Needless to say, this train was hotter than anything on the railroad.
Santa Fe was truly special when it came to handling its intermodal traffic.
