Bowling Green Falcons Mating

I was leaving Bowling Green State University in Ohio yesterday when I heard screaming from the female falcon that was sitting on top of Jerome Library, calling for her mate. This is the falcon pair that nests in the Bowling Green Courthouse tower. This is a favorite perch for the couple, since the library is the tallest building on campus and also because the university mascots are falcons. The library is a well known courtship location for humans and romances that begin here are known as "Falcon Flames." The male peregrine flew up and landed on the opposite side of the building and within a few minutes, circled the parking lot, then came up from about 20 meters below and landed on the female.
