Just bought myself a new (to me) Carver C-1 preamp but I don't have speakers yet so this is where it resides. It is connected to the Carver PM 1.5 and a pair of Boston Acoustics A400's. My C-1 sounds better than the one above it (my dad's). It could have to do with the ~15K difference in serial numbers or that my dad's is just tired and in need of repair.
