Pennsylvania Trolley Museum: Reproduction sports page advertisement
Another amusing trolley advertisement reproduction carried aboard a Pennsylvania Trolley Museum car, June 6, 2012. This card promotes newspaper coverage of the hometown Pirates in the Pittsburg Dispatch. Note the H-less spelling, which stirred great controversy between 1891 and 1911, as described at en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Etymology_of_Pittsburgh
More amusing still is the final jab at the competition: The Dispatch, apparently unlike other local papers, "has no axes to grind." Good to see some things never change.
