Wow! Honored to be selected Photo of the Day over at the Karma group!

 

I used to have one of these small trees in my garden; I finally had to concede defeat to the scale insect infestation that it suffered from. Five years and many hundreds of dollars in treatments could not eradicate them. Fantastic tree for my area---the deer won't touch them (fragrant bark) and they are not often fooled into blooming too early. I hope to plant another someday.
