Forever in our Thoughts
I expect that many MM contributions this week may be old photos. Whilst this is stretching the term macro (and Black and White) just a little, each of these photos mean a lot to me and help me keep the memory of a lost friend fresh.
The gentleman in the picture is my dad, who sadly died of cancer many years ago whilst I was still quite young. He was ex-Britsish army (21 years served) and a real character. My mum, sick of him wearing this coat for 15+ years cut it up and put it in the bin. At some expense, he tooks the pieces to a tailor and got it all sewn back together. He wore it for several years after.
The dog, my first dog as a child, is called Bandit. She was lovely, not bright, but just a great friend for a young boy. The cat, I had much later in life. Polly was her name - a passionate bird catcher - she finally chased one right under a car.
These photos help me remember them in their own special way.
(P.s. The dice and frog are presents from a friend and my girlfirend.)
