Se un uomo potesse mordere la gigantesca mano

che lo cattura e lo distrugge,

come io fui morso da un ratto

mentre esibivo la mia trappola brevettata,

nel mio negozio di ferramenta quel giorno.

Ma un uomo non può mai vendicarsi

di quell’orco mostruoso che è la Vita.
