Le Rose botaniche sono quelle specie di Rose che si ritrovano in natura, che nascono spontaneamente e le varietà e gli ibridi nati spontaneamente da esse. Si tratta di rose a fiore semplice, a volte semidoppio, non rifiorenti e molto resistenti alle malattie. In natura esistono circa una cinquantina di specie di rose botaniche e una di queste è la Rosa laxa che viene largamente utilizzata come portainnesto per la produzione di Rose frutto di ibridazioni da parte dell'uomo, infatti questa in fotografia è nata dal piede di un diverso cespuglio di Rose nel mio giardino poichè, a volte, il portainnesto prende il sopravvento sulla pianta a cui dà vita.
Sono particolarmente indicate per siepi grazie al loro portamento morbido e arcuato.
The botanical Rose are those species of Roses that we found in nature, that they are spontaneously born and the varieties and the hybrids been spontaneously born by them. They are Roses with a simple flower, at times halfdouble, not reflowering and very resistant to the diseases.
In nature they exist about fifty species of botanical Roses and one of these it is the Rose laxa that it is largely used as rootstock for the production of Roses that they derive from hybridizations from the man, in fact this in photo is born from the foot of a different bush of Rose in my garden since, at times, the rootstock has the upper hand on the plant to which gives life..
They are particularly suitable for hedges for their soft and arcuated bearing.
