Heels on Wheels Glitter Roadshow Homecoming

The Heels on Wheels Glitter Roadshow, April 12, 2013, at the Spectrum in Bushwick, Brooklyn. One of two Homecoming shows after some difficult moments on the road. Heather Acs, Damien Luxe, Shomi Noise, producers; and featuring Bevin Branlandingham, Holotropik (Dominika Ksel and Jade Payne), Horrorchata, Bryn Kelly, and Star Amerasu of the Fully Functional Cabaret.

Heels on Wheels is an all-femme-powered working-class led, multiracial, and anti-oppressive-focused arts and cultural organization. They showcase live performance and offer artistic and social justice workshops by diverse, queer feminine-spectrum artists who work in theatre, music, multimedia, performance and literature, primarily via the Glitter Roadshow and the Opentoe Peepshow.

Heels on Wheels has been presenting cultural events for four years, and is a NYC-based group of queer, interdisciplinary performing artists whose performance-based art and community events have a feminist and radical agenda, are produced from sites of femme/inine-positive queer embodiment, and reveal the power in under-represented communities.
