St. Thomas - Charlotte Amalie Downtown
Downtown Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas, from Paradise Point. The Parliament building and Fort Christian (1670s) are in the center, beyond the small bay. Fort Christian's red tower is fairly easy to spot.
The green awning or roof at right center is probably the 1829 Hotel. The "99 Steps." going up from that street to a higher viewpoint, is to the right of the hotel. Government House, the office of the Governor, would be two houses to the right. The Governor has official residence, which is higher in the hills.
The main tourist shopping area is on the left.
