Berlin - Schultheiss (1 - Reverse)

The reverse side of a Schultheiss Bierdeckel from 1963. It is one of my oldest, and its thickness reinforces this. So do the wear and stains. It shows some of the old medals, but more important, the famous Schultheiss trademark of a mayor with Amtskette (chain of office), holding a beer stein very close to the viewer.

The Schultheiss brewery was founded in 1842. From mergers, it now produces most of Berlin's major brands of beer. It is part of the Radeberger group, which in turn is a unit in the Dr. Oetker conglomerate.
