New Year´s flask

New Years´s Flask.

During the 18th Dynasty, it became common practice to present bottles like this as gifts during new year celebrations. The flasks originally designed as perfume bottles were filled with the water of the Nile on the first day of the year and often engraved with hieroglyphs wishing a happy new year.
