ymir

Way back in 1957 an early experiment in interdimensional travel launched a crew and ship into a different world where they encountered strange creatures and returned to our world with a gelatinous egg of one of these beasts which hatched into the Ymir(named after the norse giant who was the first being in that religion) who soon grew to ten meters tall and began to raid local barns,not for the animals held there but for the mainstay of the creatures diet sulfur. Ymir was eventually caught and held at the Rome zoo where it escaped and got into a fierce fight with a large male elephant that was in must and the two fought though the city ending when Ymir killed the pachyderm when he took another growth spurt and became 30 meters tall. The military was called in and badly wounded Ymir who slank off into the sea where he was thought to have perished. In 1968 Ymir was found alive and now 35 meters tall and was taken to monster island where he would stay until 2005 to help fight the Xilians, and again in 2009 this time under control of the Kilaaks who sent him and the V. rexes to Seoul Korea. Ymir would be freed of the Kilaak power and fight the Kilaak monster Mammoth and kill it with the help of the V. rexes.
