Ruins of St.John's

St. John's church, Chester, is surrounded by the beautiful ruins of it's previous incarnations..... including as both a Parlimentarian gun emplacement in the Civil war, and a Cathedral. A Roundhead sniper decided to have a crack at Charles I from here as the King stood on Chester's walls. The shot narrowly missed, killing the Cavalier Officer standing next to the King.
