Stranraer

The ship was one of the railway steamers which operated to Larne in Northern Ireland. I'm not very good on the Stranraer steamers except I know they were mostly called "Princess" something (Maud, Margaret & Victoria and other names as well I think).

This card was posted in 1940 to a Mrs M Bullock in Gillingham, Kent and the message is nice:-

"Caledonian Hotel, George St, Stranraer, 14-2-40 - My darling Marge, Just a line to let you know I am OK. Hope this will find you keeping well [illegible]. We are very busy plenty of work. Cheer up and be good. Will write tomorrow. I remain, Your ever loving husband, Will x x x x x x x x x".

If Marge or Will are still alive, they're likely to be in their 90s by now. It would be great if any of their children or grandchildren (or great grandchildren) were to chance across this from a Google search.
