kafka

franz kafka is one of my favorite authors. i chose to illustrate the scene in kafka’s

the metamorphosis, when gregor samsa discovers after he awakens that he is a “monstrous verminous bug.” i wanted the viewer to feel disoriented like gregor so i used a cockeyed perspective and a sour palette.
