(not so happy) furry friday :(
this year i have decided to help educate people about the horrors of puppy mills. when you purchase a puppy from a pet store it keeps this cruel industry going.
the parents of those cute (and often sick) puppies live in deplorable conditions.being bred at 6 months of age and continuing every heat until their little bodies wear out and then they are disposed of (in not humane ways!) living in a wire bottom cage that has barely enough room to turn around.some don't even have protection from the elements and a great deal of these mills are in the midwest and pennsylvania.they will never know what a toy,soft bed or even human companionship is.they don't even get basic health care...let alone any when sick or injured.the ones that are rescued usually have eye issues and have lost a great many teeth.we're talking 5 year old dogs!
these little guys did not ask to be held prisioner...they depend on caring people to put an end to this shame and suffering!
check out these websites and you will see and learn about the horrible things people do out of greed. if you love animals SPREAD THE WORD...most people don't have a clue what goes on in these hell holes!
there are thousands of purebred dogs in rescue shelters...that are looking for forever homes!
