In Search Of Nectar !!!
The beautiful male thorntail hummingbird was captured in the gardens in North western Ecuador. It is a tiny hummingbird and not easy to see . It moves quickly through the gardens and it is only when it stops for a second that you can see the long thorntail and Identify him . the female looks similar but does not have the long tail !! Such a sweet species .
