The Beautiful Sword Billed Hummingbird !!!
This image was captured while on a trip to Ecuador. This particular species is found high in The Andean Mountains and in fact Gary and I trekked in three miles at 12,000 feet to see this incredible little bird. His sword is in most cases as long or longer than his body and he must always keep his bill upright in order not to tumble over. Amazing to see and well worth the long hike.
