Fairy Quilt
This was made for the fairy quilt swap that I hosted on Swap-bot. I am angeling this one for someone who was flaked on.
The center piece is a macine embroidered. Three frames are then added, first pink satin, second a floral flannel, third a dotted quilting cotton. Three strips in the same fabric were added to the bottom to gain the correct dimension for a qilt. This top was layered with a center layer of white flannel and another piece of cotton on the back. Quilted along the seamlines with decorative machine stitches. Two strips of lace were added along the bottom portion. I serged the edges and then topstiched a bead fringe around most of the side. I stopped the fringe about 1-1/2" from the top and did not do any along the top. Because I figured that the fringe would get in the way of the fairy trying to sleep.
