Dr. Richard Ho introduces a major verification standards milestone: UCIS 1.0 release

The big news in verification standards at DAC was the official launch of the Unified Coverage Interoperability Standard 1.0 ("UCIS") by the Accellera standards organization. In a nutshell, the goal of UCIS is to establish a common API definition so coverage data (functional, code, assertion -- you name it) can be more easily exchanged between various tools. Suffice to say this standard has been many years in the making, and it's practically a relief to see it published.
