Sonata

The sea lapping the cliffs around Land's End at twilight. I have always liked these kind of images, they make me see the landscape for its timeless qualities. The ongoing and never ending breaking of the sea over granite becomes all the more apparent I think. It just suits some sort of gentle piano sonata, Chopin perhaps......

The 70-200mm f4.0 is a joy to use for shots like this and I highly recommend it as a landscape lens. It has great sharpness and contrast, even on subjects in a half light as here. This image had RAW adjustments made to the saturation and a touch more contrast. I dodged and burnt the rocks slightly, as the fg was a bit too light. Otherwise as shot. Thanks for your comments and support.

70-200mm full frame, B&W Kaseman polariser.
