The Old Wharf
The old wharf at the tiny settlement of Kinloch, the head of Lake Wakatipu, Queenstown, New Zealand. From the 1860s Lake Wakatipu steamers brought stock, supplies and visitors from Queenstown to Kinloch at the head of the lake (around 50km or 30 miles). It was not until 1962 when a road was completed that the service was disbanded.
