1958 Edsel Pacer Retractable

EOC Meet 2009, Keizer, Oregon.

"Ever wonder what Edsel would have done with the retractable hardtop body style? In the mid-1980s, a hobbyist answered this question by creating his version of a factory-correct Edsel retractable. No detail was overlooked as he spent thousands of hours creating this car. It truly is a full custom car, but it comes across as a factory original. This car began life as a 1957 Ford Skyliner and then received the full Edsel treatment: correct Edsel bodylines and trim grace the front, sides and rear of the car; a complete Edsel interior and dash were installed, and the Edsel E-400 engine and Teletouch push-button automatic transmission were swapped into the car. The car has stood the test of time very well, and is currently in show condition. It has travelled nearly 100,000 miles since its "creation", including 3 cross-country trips".
