Shugart Family Album

A late Victorian photo album, containing mostly Princeton, Illinois, photographer's cabinet cards & CDV's. The surname Shugart, appears on two of the photos. Two additional photos were identified (as Shugarts) by the photographer's number on the back. These two were photos by noted photographer Henry W. Immke. Immke's ledgers and most of his negatives still exist, and belong to the Bureau County Historical Society.

Among the photos by H. W. Immke; C. H. Masters; Masters & Skolds; Masters & Pihlgren; and A. W. Huntington, are several with the name of the mysterious photographer, J. L. Kelman. Kelman's photos are often found among early Bureau County photographs, but there is never a location on his marks or backmarks.
