Tiny Tail

I found this tiny newborn cottontail bunny under some brush this morning. I have small hands and this little bunny didn’t cover the palm of my hand. Its sibling was not so fortunate. Bear (the dog) brought it to me squealing. I told him to drop it and the little guy hit the dirt pretty hard. I buried him under a bush and placed rocks on top of the tiny grave.

 

Silly me... I live on over 4 acres of natural desert landscape and yet I feel compelled to rake and do yard work!
